Digital Copywriter - Denver, CO

The Role:

FREEBIRD is looking for a passionate storyteller to bring our creative vision and brand narrative to life. The ideal individual has a strong writing background, is an articulate communicator, and has the desire to increase brand awareness and loyalty through compelling copy content. Working closely with our E-Commerce Merchandising Assistant, our Copywriter will primarily be producing engaging copy for our online store to educate potential buyers and help drive increased traffic and conversions. Will develope a productive and collaborative relationship with multiple departments to ensure copy is delivered consistently across all sales channels. Conduct research on industry trends, keyword search while comparing internal analytics to better written copy created for our target audience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for digital copywriting projects related to the consumer through multiple platforms, including online store, social media, email marketing and seasonal campaigns
  • Collaborate with merchandising team to write relevant, unique, and influential product descriptions on PDP to help encourage online conversions
  • Research trends throughout the industry to create an on-going dialogue with relevant copy for each category with a strong SEO/SEM component
  • Demonstrate understanding of the FREEBIRD brand and product throughout online store, landing pages, and overall presentation of creative copy content for consistency throughout all campaign messaging
  • Stay up to date with current production, new launch dates, and sales forecasting objectives
  • Actively research our costumer and competitors to find the best way to present our product and execute compelling storytelling and narratives seasonally and for live campaigns
  • Assist departments with proofing/editing copy for unassigned projects when necessary
  • Present strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to design, graphics and concept inspiration

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or communication
  • 3+ years’ experience as a copywriter
  • Knowledge of Shopify or other e-commerce platforms
  • Retail & eCommerce experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SEO
  • Proficient with keyword research
  • Efficient presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Close attention to details
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast pace/ever changing environment
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Creative Suite

 

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000
